HOUSING: Support & Transitional Homes

Case Management- SECMHC's case management focus is to serve individuals with the greatest needs who are consuming the most costly, intensive, and intrusive resources. SECMHC’s case management services are based on the Assertive Community Treatment approach.

Psychiatric Clinic - SECMHC's psychiatric clinic is integrated into all clinical service offered by SECMHC's. After establishing a diagnosis, SECMHC's utilizes evidence based treatment protocols to assist the consumer in finding the “right” treatment.

Support Services - SECMHC's is aware that additional support is needed to assist the consumer with special needs as they arise.

SECMHCSafe-Entry Community Mental Health Centers provide:

  • Outpatient services, including specialized outpatient services for the elderly, individuals who are chronically mentally ill, and residents of the SEMCHC’s mental health service area who have been discharged from inpatient treatment at a mental health facility;
  • 24 hour-a-day emergency care services;
  • Day treatment, or other partial hospitalization services, or psychosocial rehabilitation services; and
  • Screening for patients being considered for admission to State mental health facilities to determine the appropriateness of such admission.

IT – Individual Therapy is provided by therapists in a one-on-one setting with the patient.
PHP – Partial Hospitalization Programs offer group therapy, case management, individual therapy, physician oversight, and outreach programs.  Programs operate during the day from five to seven days per week.  Patients participate in three to five therapeutic activities per day.  Transportation is often provided.

OUT – Outreach Programs provide health education classes and programs, housing placement for patients, prescription assistance program, and assistance with activities of daily living.

HH – Home Health offers a wide range of medical and psychiatric services in the home including benefits assistance, medication assistance, skilled nursing, occupational therapy speech therapy, health aides, social workers, medical supplies and equipment.

IOP – Intensive Outpatient Programs offer group therapy, case management, individual therapy, physician oversight, and outreach programs.  Patients participate in one to three therapeutic activities per day.

CD – Chemical Dependency Programs provide specialized therapy and activities to address the issues faced by patients struggling with addiction.


HOUSING: Support & Transitional Homes – Through the housing program, consumers can be linked with roommates, support and affordable rent.  Many different types of housing are available, including independent living and supported housing (24-hour staff).  We also provide immediate, temporary housing to individuals who are homeless and have mental illness. ON-SITE:

Medical ClinicSafe-Entry Community Mental Health Center’s consumers have access to an on-site/walk-in medical clinic which provides medical services designed to bring convenience and personal support.

Styling & Barber SalonSafe-Entry has an on-site full service styling and barber salon.  We believe in a “look good-feel good” concept.  All consumers have access to styling and barber services on a day-to-day basis.  Services are performed by a licensed cosmetologist employed by Safe-Entry.
